Customized Training Courses for Agencies and Coalitions

As the essential role of Community Health Workers in service delivery and health promotion becomes widely known, your agency may be considering expanding or developing outreach programs utilizing CHWs. CHW staff of any experience level will benefit from basic and/or specialized training in various competencies.

Health centers and community based agencies’ training needs can vary widely depending on specific duties of CHW staff, specific focus areas of staff, time constraints, and existing on-the-job training. Trainings are an important professional development opportunity for CHWs, supporting their confidence, clarity of their role, and professional capacity to work with patients/clients.

The OWTI offers custom-designed training courses for:
